Exercise 1: Conversation exercise

Instruction:

  1. Beschrijf de opleidingsweg van Eva. (Describe the education path of Eva.)
  2. Beschrijf waar je op de middelbare school hebt gestudeerd. (Describe where you studied at high school.)
  3. Praat over wat je op school hebt gestudeerd. (Talk about what you studied at school.)

Example phrases:

De eerste jaren zat Eva op de basisschool.

For the first years Eva was in primary school.

Toen zat ze op de middelbare school. Ze was altijd een hardwerkende leerling met goede cijfers.

Then she was in secondary school. She always was a hard-working student with good grades.

Ze maakte de middelbare school af toen ze 18 jaar oud was.

She finished high school when she was 18 years old.

Ik ging naar de universiteit en studeerde rechten.

I went to university and studied law.

Exercise 3: Match a word

Instruction: Match the translations

Op de basisschool gingen we vaak na schooltijd buitenspelen met vrienden in het park. (At primary school, we often went to play outside with friends in the park after school.)
Ik dacht vaak terug aan mijn kindertijd omdat die herinneringen mij blij maken. (I often thought back to my childhood because those memories make me happy.)
De leraar deed altijd zijn best om moeilijke onderwerpen goed uit te leggen. (The teacher always did his best to explain difficult subjects well.)
We hadden veel plezier in het klaslokaal en leerden elke dag samen nieuwe dingen. (We had a lot of fun in the classroom and learned new things together every day.)
